Goodpasture Covered Bridge

Goodpasture is east of Leaburg, Oregon and spans the McKenzie River. It was one of four bridges built in 1938 by Lane County. Pengra, Earnest, and Wendling were also built that year.

A Note

A quick Google search will reveal thousands of images of Goodpasture. My favorite images are from the opposite side of the McKenzie Highway or looking north at the forested area. We visited on a Saturday which meant a lot of traffic. I did not consider walking across the road to capture images.

The fire in 2020 caused significant damage to the area. It is considered one of the largest wildfires in Oregon’s history. Local residents are working hard at rebuilding their homes. Our favorite store in Blue River (near the high school) was lost in the fire. Consider stopping at local restaurants and general stores to support the local economy.
