Hannah Covered Bridge

Hannah Covered Bridge was built in 1936. It is named after John Joseph Hannah, an Oregon pioneer. Hannah was listed on the National Historic Register in 1979.

Hannah is an active bridge. Bilyeu Den County Park is connected to the bridge which allows for adequate parking and facilities. There is a nice stairwell to Thomas Creek which provides photographers will several vantage points.

Hannah, Gilkey and Shimanek Covered Bridges span Thomas Creek. Stayton-Jordan used to span the creek but was moved to Stayton in 1994.

Hannah is an active bridge but those who cross the wooden planks tend to drive slow and cautiously. The bridge would be an ideal location for a fun family photo shoot, senior pictures or engagement photos.

Pack a picnic basket and plan to spend an afternoon listening to the thump-thump-thump of cars crossing the planks and the delightful music of the creek. Or host a rock skipping contest with your closest friends and family. Hannah Covered Bridge is worth the trip.
